Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately using POS systems while maintaining cash drawer accountability
- Provide outstanding customer service through product knowledge and friendly interactions
- Operate scanners, credit card machines, and self-checkout stations efficiently
- Assist with inventory management and store organization tasks
- Resolve customer inquiries promptly and escalate complex issues appropriately
- Maintain clean and organized checkout areas and customer service zones
- Adhere to all safety protocols and loss prevention procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of cashier or retail customer service experience preferred
- Strong numerical accuracy and basic math skills for handling cash/transactions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency with basic technology (POS systems, scanners)
