Responsibilities
- Process Transactions: Accurately operate point-of-sale (POS) systems to process customer purchases, returns, and exchanges efficiently.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and resolve any complaints to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Inventory Management: Assist with stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining a clean, tidy sales floor.
- Cash Handling: Reconcile daily sales, handle cash and card payments with precision, and prepare daily deposits.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure store operations run smoothly during peak hours.
- Compliance: Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and loss prevention procedures.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail customer service role is preferred but not required.
- Math Skills: Strong aptitude for basic arithmetic and cash handling.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Reliability: Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light boxes (up to 20 lbs).
