Responsibilities
- Safely walk dogs in residential neighborhoods and designated parks while maintaining control at all times
- Provide timely feeding, medication administration, and hydration as per client instructions
- Maintain detailed activity logs and incident reports for each pet visit
- Communicate proactively with pet owners regarding pet behavior, health concerns, and schedule updates
- Adhere to strict safety protocols during extreme weather conditions
- Transport pets to veterinary appointments or grooming facilities when required
- Administer basic first aid for minor injuries and emergencies
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification for pets (or willingness to obtain)
- Reliable transportation with valid driver's license and insurance
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and walk up to 5 miles daily
- Exceptional time management and punctuality skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of dog behavior and breed-specific handling
- Background check clearance required
