Responsibilities
- Safe and Enjoyable Walks: Lead dogs on safe, scheduled walks to ensure they receive adequate exercise, fresh air, and mental stimulation.
- Pet Care Duties: Collect waste, refill water bowls, and check for any physical issues or changes in behavior during walks.
- Client Communication: Provide timely updates and photos to pet parents via our app or text message to keep them informed.
- Arrival and Departure: Arrive at the scheduled time, greet the dog warmly, and ensure they are comfortable before leaving.
- Home Safety: Secure the home environment, lock doors and windows, and ensure no hazards are present before departing.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of visits, feeding schedules, and any special instructions provided by the owner.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in dog walking or pet sitting is highly preferred but not strictly required.
- Lov e of Animals: A genuine passion for dogs and a patient, gentle demeanor are essential.
- Reliability: You must be punctual, trustworthy, and able to maintain a consistent schedule.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to walk 1-2 miles comfortably and handle dogs of various sizes and energy levels.
- Background Check: Must be willing to pass a background check and provide references.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow specific instructions from pet owners.
