Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly upon entry and exit, ensuring a welcoming shopping experience.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit payments with strict attention to accuracy.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding product locations, pricing, and store policies.
- Assist customers with bagging items and loading purchases into vehicles.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with bags and supplies.
- Collaborate with floor staff to maintain a pleasant store atmosphere.
- Monitor for and report any safety hazards or security issues to management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is a plus but not required.
- Strong math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions with high accuracy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
- Basic computer literacy is helpful.
