Responsibilities
- Ring up customer purchases accurately and efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries and product needs.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with 100% accuracy and accountability.
- Process returns and exchanges according to company policy.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
