Responsibilities
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately and efficiently to process customer transactions.
- Greet customers warmly upon arrival and provide excellent service throughout their shopping experience.
- Handle cash, credit, and check payments with strict attention to accuracy and security.
- Assist customers with locating products and answering general inquiries about store policies.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Process returns, exchanges, and coupons according to company guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth and efficient store flow.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
- Previous experience as a Cashier or in retail is a plus but not required for motivated candidates.
- Strong math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
- Reliable transportation and a positive work history.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
