Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Administer injections, medications, and vaccinations per physician protocols
- Perform vital signs measurements and document electronic health records
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and maintain clean exam rooms
- Schedule patient appointments and handle insurance verification
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification or CMA/RMA credentials
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a fast-paced setting
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic/Meditech preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong communication skills and ability to multitask effectively
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Valid Illinois driver's license for occasional travel between sites
