Responsibilities
- Safely leash, walk, and monitor dogs (1-4 dogs per group) in designated Columbus neighborhoods
- Provide real-time photo/video updates via our mobile app to pet owners
- Administer basic care (water, waste cleanup, treats) as per client instructions
- Maintain detailed pet behavior and health logs in our CRM system
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols during all walks and transport
- Build trust-based relationships with clients and their furry companions
- Participate in monthly pet care workshops and continuing education
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Valid Ohio driver's license and reliable insured vehicle
- Current First Aid/CPR certification for pets (or willingness to obtain)
- Exceptional communication and time-management skills
- Ability to work in various Columbus weather conditions
- Passion for animal welfare and commitment to ethical handling
- Must pass comprehensive background and driving record checks
- Strong understanding of dog behavior and breed characteristics
