Responsibilities
- Manage daily circulation operations with precision, including check-ins/check-outs, renewals, and fine management
- Lead digital literacy initiatives, providing advanced training on research databases and digital resources
- Coordinate specialized collection development and preservation for archival materials
- Supervise part-time staff and volunteers during peak service hours
- Develop and execute community outreach programs for underserved populations
- Maintain accurate inventory records using ILS systems (e.g., Sierra, Koha)
- Collaborate with curatorial teams on rotating exhibitions and thematic displays
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of progressive library experience with technical services background
- Proficiency in integrated library systems and metadata management standards
- Demonstrated expertise in grant writing and program development
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean driving record
- FLMS or ALA certification (or eligibility)
- Advanced knowledge of copyright law and archival preservation techniques
- Experience supervising cross-functional teams
