Responsibilities
- Manage digital resource systems including cataloging, metadata management, and digital preservation workflows
- Lead reference services for specialized collections (local history, rare manuscripts, digital archives)
- Coordinate outreach programs for underserved communities and literacy initiatives
- Supervise daily operations of public service desks and circulation systems
- Train staff and volunteers on advanced library technologies and research methodologies
- Develop and implement collection development strategies for specialized subject areas
- Analyze usage data to optimize resource allocation and service delivery
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Library Science (MLS) or equivalent certification (ALA-ac preferred)
- 3+ years progressive library experience with demonstrated expertise in digital resources
- Advanced proficiency in integrated library systems (ILS) and metadata standards (Dublin Core, MARC)
- Experience managing special collections archives or digital repositories
- Proven ability to deliver complex reference services and research consultations
- Strong data analysis skills with experience in library usage metrics
- Excellent communication skills with multilingual capabilities preferred
