Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis across tech, social, and economic domains to identify disruptive forces impacting 2026+ landscapes
- Develop and maintain strategic innovation frameworks and future-state scenarios for executive leadership
- Collaborate with R&D teams to translate foresight insights into actionable product roadmaps and patent opportunities
- Deliver executive briefings and client workshops on emerging technologies and market evolution
- Establish and manage a global network of futurists, academics, and industry thought leaders
- Quantify innovation ROI through predictive modeling and scenario planning tools
- Lead the creation of Horizon Dynamics' annual FutureTech Impact Report
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Innovation, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or corporate R&D leadership
- Proven expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep technical fluency in emerging tech: quantum computing, AGI, biotech convergence, or climate tech
- Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills for C-suite audiences
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation strategy (white papers, journals)
- Experience developing and implementing innovation KPIs and impact metrics
- Strong network connections with global innovation ecosystems
