Responsibilities
- Process transactions efficiently using advanced POS systems while maintaining 99.9% accuracy
- Lead cashier teams during peak hours, providing training and support to new staff
- Resolve customer inquiries regarding products, promotions, and loyalty programs
- Execute daily cash reconciliation and report discrepancies to management
- Monitor inventory levels for checkout lanes and communicate restocking needs
- Implement loss prevention protocols and identify suspicious activity
- Collaborate with floor associates to ensure seamless customer flow
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years cashier experience in high-volume retail environment
- Proven expertise with modern POS systems (Square, Shopify POS, etc.)
- Exceptional cash handling skills with zero discrepancies in prior roles
- Strong leadership abilities with team training experience
- Ability to multitask during peak hours while maintaining composure
- Basic knowledge of grocery products and organic/specialty items
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent required
