Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with finding products and services to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently, processing various payment methods and handling returns.
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the sales floor is clean, tidy, and inviting at all times.
- Monitor inventory levels and alert management when stock needs to be replenished.
- Communicate product features and promotions to customers to drive sales and meet daily targets.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints professionally, and escalate complex issues to store management when necessary.
- Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and adherence to company dress code policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; previous retail experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse customer base.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and inventory management.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Proficiency with computers and POS systems is preferred.
