Responsibilities
- Greet all customers warmly and provide a welcoming atmosphere upon entering the store.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, processing transactions accurately and handling cash and card payments.
- Assist customers in finding products, answering questions about inventory, and providing product recommendations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor by organizing merchandise and restocking shelves.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate stock needs to management to ensure product availability.
- Handle customer returns, exchanges, and complaints with patience and professionalism.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and loss prevention protocols.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus but not required for enthusiastic candidates.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours) with occasional bending and lifting.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and price checks.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as required by business needs.
