In this role, you will ensure the physical and emotional well-being of pets in our community while providing peace of mind to busy pet parents.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily dog walks in the Baton Rouge area, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for every pet.
- Monitor pet behavior and health during walks, immediately reporting any medical issues or behavioral concerns to the owner.
- Provide professional, real-time photo and video updates via our app to keep pet parents connected.
- Administer medications and supplements according to strict, written instructions.
- Ensure timely arrival and departure at all scheduled appointments to maintain a high standard of punctuality.
- Maintain a clean and organized personal vehicle and equipment.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and pet handling guidelines.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in pet care, animal handling, or professional dog walking is highly preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have a reliable vehicle with insurance.
- Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and reliability.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and walk on various terrains (parks, neighborhoods, hills).
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
