Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome customers warmly as they enter the store, maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges accurately.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with strict attention to detail and accountability.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, and store policies with patience and expertise.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist in inventory management and restocking shelves as needed during slow periods.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless and efficient shopping experience for all customers.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, or cashier roles is a plus but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse customers.
- Basic math skills and the ability to handle money accurately.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems is an advantage.
