This role is part of our Quantum Leap Initiative, a multi-billion dollar R&D program focused on solving humanity's most complex challenges through quantum supremacy. You'll work alongside Nobel laureates and industry pioneers to develop next-generation quantum algorithms, hardware optimization protocols, and secure communication frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute cutting-edge quantum computing experiments using superconducting qubits and ion trap systems
- Develop novel error-correction algorithms to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum gate operations and coherence times
- Publish breakthrough research in leading journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development for quantum innovations
- Lead cross-functional projects integrating quantum solutions with classical AI systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and quantum simulation techniques
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Strong publication record in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Experience with cryogenic systems and quantum control electronics
- Demonstrated ability to secure research grants (NSF, DOE, industry sponsors)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and topological quantum computing
