Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum processor architectures using superconducting qubits
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical workflows for optimization problems in logistics and drug discovery
- Lead quantum algorithm research for machine learning acceleration and cryptography applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to calibrate quantum systems and mitigate decoherence effects
- Create quantum error correction protocols for industrial-scale deployment by 2026
- Author whitepapers on quantum supremacy applications in finance and materials science
- Mentor cross-functional teams on quantum computing principles and implementation strategies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and circuit optimization
- Proficiency in cryogenic engineering and superconducting device fabrication
- Proven track record of scaling quantum systems beyond 1000 qubits
- Experience with quantum machine learning frameworks (PennyLane, TensorFlow Quantum)
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into commercial quantum products
- Strong background in high-performance computing architectures and parallel processing
