Responsibilities
- Safely leash and walk dogs in Sacramento neighborhoods and parks
- Monitor pet behavior and report health concerns to owners
- Administer basic care (water, treats, waste cleanup)
- Maintain detailed walk logs and client communication
- Adapt walks to individual pet needs (energy levels, size, temperament)
- Attend monthly training sessions on pet safety and first aid
- Build trust with clients through reliable, punctual service
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog handling experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and walk up to 5 hours/day
- Strong time management and GPS navigation skills
- Current pet first/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Passionate about animal welfare and customer service
- Flexible availability (mornings, evenings, weekends)
