Responsibilities
- Safely walk and exercise dogs in various Lubbock neighborhoods
- Provide companionship and ensure pets' physical and emotional well-being
- Maintain accurate records of walking schedules and pet behavior
- Administer basic care (feeding, watering, medication if certified)
- Communicate professionally with pet owners about their dogs' needs
- Transport pets to veterinary appointments or grooming as required
- Adhere to strict safety protocols for all animals and clients
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable insured vehicle
- Red Cross Pet First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Exceptional reliability and punctuality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to walk dogs in varying weather conditions
- Ability to manage multiple dogs simultaneously when needed
- Clean background check and positive references
