Responsibilities
- Safely walk dogs individually or in small groups in designated Jersey City neighborhoods
- Provide real-time photo/video updates via our mobile app to pet parents
- Administer basic medications and monitor pet health during walks
- Maintain detailed activity logs and behavior notes for each pet
- Transport pets to vet appointments or grooming salons as needed
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and emergency procedures
- Build trust-based relationships with both pets and their owners
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle (or access to one)
- Current pet first/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Exceptional reliability and punctuality
- Strong knowledge of dog behavior and handling techniques
- Ability to work independently in all weather conditions
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must pass background check and drug screening
