Responsibilities
- Safely walk and exercise multiple dogs simultaneously in residential and public areas
- Provide timely feeding, hydration, and medication administration as directed
- Maintain detailed logs of pet behavior, activities, and health observations
- Practice strict leash handling and crowd control in urban environments
- Administer first aid for minor injuries and respond calmly to emergencies
- Transport pets to veterinary appointments or grooming facilities when needed
- Uphold strict cleanliness protocols during home visits and outdoor excursions
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Reliable transportation and pet-safe equipment (leashes, water bowls, waste bags)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and walk 5+ miles daily
- Current pet first/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
