Responsibilities
- Safely walk multiple dogs simultaneously using provided professional-grade equipment
- Monitor pet behavior and health during walks, reporting any concerns promptly
- Maintain detailed logs of walks, including duration, distance, and pet interactions
- Provide exceptional customer service through regular photo/video updates to owners
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and local leash laws in all city parks
- Handle waste disposal responsibly using provided biodegradable bags
- Attend monthly training sessions on pet first aid and behavior management
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- Ability to walk 5+ miles daily in varying weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of dog behavior and body language
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
- Certification in pet first aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Must pass background check and provide references
- Must reside within 15 miles of Colorado Springs
