Responsibilities
- Safely walk dogs individually or in small groups (max 4 dogs) in designated Sacramento neighborhoods
- Provide real-time photo and video updates to pet owners via our proprietary app
- Administer basic care (feeding, medication, hydration) as specified in pet profiles
- Maintain detailed activity logs and health observations for each client
- Practice leash handling and positive reinforcement techniques at all times
- Transport dogs to/from veterinary appointments when required
- Participate in monthly safety certifications and continuing education
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- Current pet first aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and walk 5+ miles daily
- Excellent communication skills and smartphone proficiency
- Passion for animal welfare and knowledge of dog behavior
- Clean background check and drug-free workplace compliance
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
