Responsibilities
- Safely escort dogs on individual or group walks (30-60 mins)
- Provide in-home pet sitting and feeding services
- Administer basic medications as needed
- Maintain detailed pet activity logs and client reports
- Practice leash handling and positive reinforcement techniques
- Ensure safety during inclement weather and extreme temperatures
- Build trust with pets and communicate effectively with owners
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog handling experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Red Cross Pet First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and walk 5+ miles daily
- Exceptional time management and reliability
- Clear background check and clean driving record
- Strong communication skills for client interactions
- Love for all dog breeds and temperaments
