Responsibilities
- Safely walk dogs individually or in small groups according to client instructions
- Provide real-time photo/video updates to pet owners during walks
- Monitor pets for health/wellness changes and report concerns promptly
- Maintain clean and organized equipment (leashes, treats, waste bags)
- Adhere to strict safety protocols for handling pets in public spaces
- Build strong client relationships through exceptional communication
- Administer basic care (medication, feeding) when required
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Current pet first/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 25+ pounds and walk 3+ hours daily
- Excellent time management and punctuality skills
- Strong attention to detail and observation abilities
- Positive attitude and love for all dog breeds/sizes
- Local knowledge of Reno parks, trails, and pet-friendly areas
