Responsibilities
- Safely walk and supervise dogs in various Portland neighborhoods
- Provide feeding, medication administration, and basic care as needed
- Maintain detailed client records and activity logs
- Transport pets to/from veterinary appointments or parks
- Implement positive reinforcement training techniques
- Ensure pet safety during all activities and weather conditions
- Communicate professionally with pet owners via app/phone
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog handling experience
- Valid Oregon driver's license with clean driving record
- Reliable transportation and smartphone
- Strong knowledge of dog behavior and first aid
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and walk up to 5 hours daily
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Background check and pet CPR certification preferred
- Availability mornings, evenings, and weekends
