Responsibilities
- Provide safe, engaging daily walks (30-60 mins) for dogs in Durham neighborhoods
- Monitor pets' health and behavior during walks, reporting any concerns promptly
- Maintain detailed digital logs of walks, feeding times, and client communications
- Administer basic care (medication, feeding) as per client instructions
- Transport pets to vet appointments or dog parks when required
- Uphold strict safety protocols and emergency response procedures
- Build rapport with pet parents through regular photo/video updates
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog handling or walking experience
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Reliable vehicle and smartphone with GPS capability
- Ability to walk multiple dogs simultaneously (max 4) safely
- Red Cross Pet First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Exceptional communication and time-management skills
- Physical stamina for all-weather walking conditions
- Background check and pet care liability insurance
