Responsibilities
- Safely walk dogs in designated Chicago neighborhoods while maintaining control and ensuring pet comfort
- Provide attentive care including feeding, hydration, and administering medications as directed
- Monitor pet health and behavior, documenting all observations and incidents
- Build positive relationships with pet owners through clear communication and photo updates
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and emergency procedures
- Manage multiple dogs simultaneously when required for group walks
- Maintain clean equipment and professional appearance during all interactions
Qualifications
- Proven experience handling dogs of various breeds and sizes
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Strong physical fitness to walk dogs in all weather conditions
- Exceptional communication skills and customer service mindset
- Clean background check and willingness to complete pet care certification
- Smartphone proficiency for GPS tracking and photo documentation
