Responsibilities
- Safely walk dogs individually or in small groups, ensuring proper leash handling and control
- Provide feeding, hydration, and medication administration as per owner instructions
- Monitor pet behavior and health, reporting any concerns promptly
- Maintain detailed logs of walks, feeding, and pet observations
- Clean and sanitize equipment, vehicles, and handling areas
- Build trust-based relationships with clients and their pets
- Adhere to all safety protocols and emergency procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional pet care experience (boarding, walking, or vet tech)
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Reliable transportation and pet-safe vehicle
- First Aid/CPR certification for pets (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to handle dogs up to 80 lbs with confidence
- Excellent communication and time-management skills
- Flexible schedule availability (early mornings, evenings, weekends)
- Must pass comprehensive background check
