Responsibilities
- Safely walk multiple dogs simultaneously using proper leash handling techniques
- Monitor pet behavior and provide real-time updates to owners via our mobile app
- Administer basic care including fresh water, waste cleanup, and post-walk towel drying
- Adhere to strict safety protocols during walks and at client properties
- Maintain detailed activity logs and client communication records
- Transport pets to/from designated walking areas using company vehicles
- Attend mandatory monthly training sessions on pet first aid and behavior
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 25-50 pounds comfortably
- Strong knowledge of dog body language and handling techniques
- Availability to work mornings, evenings, and weekends (15-25 hrs/week)
- Reliable transportation and smartphone with data plan
- Must pass background check and pet care certification
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred
