Responsibilities
- Safely walk multiple dogs simultaneously using proper leash handling techniques
- Provide real-time photo/video updates to pet owners via our mobile app
- Administer basic care (water, treats) as specified in client instructions
- Maintain detailed logs of walks, behavior observations, and service delivery
- Adapt to varying weather conditions and neighborhood terrains
- Respond professionally to client inquiries and concerns
- Uphold strict safety protocols for pets and pedestrians
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Current CPR/First Aid certification for pets preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Availability weekdays and weekends (early mornings/late evenings)
- Ability to handle dogs up to 80 lbs with confidence
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Clean background check and positive references required
- Knowledge of DC leash laws and pet regulations
