Responsibilities
- Safely walk dogs of various breeds and sizes through Lexington neighborhoods and parks
- Monitor pet health and behavior during walks, reporting any concerns to owners
- Provide fresh water and administer basic care as requested by pet owners
- Maintain detailed walk logs and client communication via our mobile app
- Uphold strict safety protocols during all outdoor activities
- Transport pets to veterinary appointments or grooming when required
- Represent Paw Pals with professionalism and enthusiasm in all client interactions
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog handling or pet care experience
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and walk 5+ miles daily
- Reliable transportation to meet clients across Lexington
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Background check and drug screening required
- Certification in pet first aid/CPR preferred
- Knowledge of local Lexington pet regulations and safe walking routes
