Responsibilities
- Safely walk multiple dogs simultaneously while maintaining control and ensuring their safety and comfort
- Provide personalized care based on each dog's specific needs, temperament, and exercise requirements
- Monitor dogs for health or behavioral changes and communicate observations to owners promptly
- Maintain clean and safe walking environments, including proper waste disposal
- Adhere to strict scheduling protocols and GPS tracking for accountability
- Build strong relationships with clients through professional communication and reliability
- Handle emergency situations calmly and follow established protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog handling experience or equivalent extensive personal experience
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean driving record (if transporting pets)
- Current pet first/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Exceptional physical fitness capable of handling dogs up to 80 lbs in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of dog behavior, body language, and breed characteristics
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Must pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Reliable transportation and smartphone with data capability
