Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely and efficiently load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments using appropriate equipment.
- Inventory Management: Conduct regular inventory counts and accurately update stock levels using handheld scanners.
- Picking and Packing: Retrieve items from storage and pack them securely for shipping, ensuring proper labeling.
- Equipment Operation: Operate warehouse machinery such as pallet jacks, forklifts (certification required), and conveyor systems.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, strictly adhering to all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for damage before shipping and report any discrepancies to the shift supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: Previous warehouse or logistics experience is a plus but not mandatory; we provide on-the-job training.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and ability to learn warehouse management software quickly.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work flexible shifts including weekends.
- Certifications: Valid forklift certification is a strong advantage.
