Responsibilities
- Monitor server health and performance metrics 24/7 to ensure optimal uptime and prevent downtime.
- Perform routine maintenance, patch management, and system updates on Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Troubleshoot hardware failures, network connectivity issues, and software conflicts.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining automated data backup and disaster recovery protocols.
- Collaborate with the IT team to document technical procedures, configurations, and incident reports.
- Ensure compliance with company security policies and IT best practices.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in server administration or IT support.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, or VirtualBox) is a plus.
- Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and basic hardware troubleshooting.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical staff.
