Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain server health, uptime, and performance across Windows and Linux environments.
- Perform routine system updates, patches, and security hardening to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of virtual machines using Hyper-V or VMware.
- Troubleshoot server-side hardware and software issues to minimize downtime.
- Manage user permissions, account provisioning, and Active Directory administration.
- Conduct regular backups and disaster recovery testing to ensure business continuity.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent technical experience.
- Valid CompTIA Server+ or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certification is a plus.
- Proven experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Linux (RHEL/CentOS).
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a part-time capacity.
