Responsibilities
- Monitor Server Health: Continuously monitor server uptime, performance, and availability to ensure seamless operations.
- Perform Maintenance: Execute routine system updates, patches, and hardware maintenance to optimize system performance.
- Backup & Recovery: Assist in the implementation and verification of data backup strategies and disaster recovery plans.
- Security Management: Configure and manage firewalls and security settings to protect sensitive data and network integrity.
- Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation for all server configurations and procedures.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- Experience: 1-3 years of hands-on experience in server administration or IT support.
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, Network+, or equivalent certifications are highly preferred.
- Operating Systems: Strong proficiency in managing Windows Server and/or Linux environments.
- Networking: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network troubleshooting protocols.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Flexibility: Ability to work a part-time schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends if required for critical maintenance.
