Responsibilities
- System Monitoring & Maintenance: Continuously monitor server health, performance, and uptime to ensure 99.9% availability.
- Security & Patching: Apply critical security patches and updates to Linux and Windows Server environments in a timely manner.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex server hardware and software issues with minimal downtime.
- Backup Management: Verify and manage automated backup processes to ensure data redundancy and disaster recovery readiness.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation for all server configurations and procedures.
- Performance Tuning: Analyze server metrics and optimize resource allocation to improve system speed and reliability.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with server administration in a corporate environment.
- Operating Systems: Proficiency in both Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows Server.
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and networking protocols.
- Virtualization: Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Tools: Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix) and scripting (Bash, PowerShell).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
