Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome customers entering the store with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Assist customers in finding products, providing product recommendations, and explaining features and benefits.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately, processing transactions and handling returns efficiently.
- Maintain the visual appearance of the sales floor, ensuring products are well-organized, displayed attractively, and stocked to meet demand.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate stock shortages to management to ensure timely replenishment.
- Upsell and cross-sell products to increase the average transaction value and meet sales targets.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, or sales is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-first mindset.
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail software is a plus.
