Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vital sign measurements, and preliminary health assessments
- Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures
- Administer medications, injections, and wound care under supervision
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with 99.8% accuracy
- Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and exam rooms
- Coordinate patient scheduling and insurance verification
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality protocols
Qualifications
- Active MA certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic, Athena, or similar)
- Excellent venipuncture and phlebotomy skills
- Availability for 20-30 hours/week across evenings (4-9 PM) and weekends
- Strong communication skills in English and Spanish preferred
- BLS/CPR certification (must maintain current)
- Ability to stand for 8+ hours and lift 25 lbs regularly
