Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide a positive first impression.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process cash, credit, and debit transactions.
- Handle cash registers with accuracy and accountability.
- Assist customers with product locations and answer general inquiries.
- Bag groceries and maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Process returns, exchanges, and refunds according to company policy.
- Follow all security and loss prevention protocols.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous retail or cashier experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable transportation and availability to work weekends and holidays.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
