Responsibilities
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently to process customer transactions accurately and securely.
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with strict adherence to company policies and cash handling procedures.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, locating items, and processing returns or exchanges.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain store appearance and operational standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior retail experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to stand and move around for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems.
