Responsibilities
- Ring up customers efficiently and accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Handle cash, credit, debit, and gift card transactions with precision.
- Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and fully stocked with bags and supplies.
- Greet customers warmly and answer questions regarding products or services.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues professionally and promptly.
- Monitor the security of the cash drawer and report discrepancies immediately.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth store flow.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in retail or cashier roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
