Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale (POS).
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Handle cash, credit, debit, and gift card payments with strict attention to accuracy.
- Bag merchandise and organize the checkout area to maintain a tidy and professional appearance.
- Assist with inventory stocking and price changes as needed.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Previous experience in retail or cashier positions is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong numeracy skills and the ability to handle money with high accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
