Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers with a friendly and professional demeanor, ensuring a welcoming store environment.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently, processing sales, returns, exchanges, and gift cards with accuracy.
- Handle cash transactions responsibly, including making accurate change and balancing the cash drawer at the end of the shift.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, checkout area, and stockrooms.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding products, services, and store policies promptly.
- Assist in inventory management, including stocking shelves and organizing merchandise displays.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail sales environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong basic math skills and the ability to handle money accurately.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand and move around the sales floor for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
