Responsibilities
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer purchases efficiently and accurately.
- Greet every customer with a friendly smile and provide assistance with their shopping needs.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions, ensuring all payments are balanced at the end of the shift.
- Assist with inventory management by stocking shelves and organizing merchandise.
- Maintain a clean and orderly checkout area and store floor.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints professionally and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable transportation and availability to work weekends and holidays.
