Responsibilities
- Operate Point-of-Sale (POS) Systems: Process customer transactions accurately, including cash, credit, and debit payments.
- Customer Engagement: Greet customers warmly, answer product inquiries, and provide exceptional service to enhance the shopping experience.
- Cash Handling: Maintain accurate cash drawers and reconcile daily transactions with precision.
- Store Maintenance: Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies.
- Assistance: Help organize merchandise and assist customers in locating items within the store.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members to ensure store operations run smoothly during shifts.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Skills: Strong basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions with high accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and a polite, professional demeanor.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs when assisting with inventory.
- Availability: Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
