Responsibilities
- Efficiently ring up customer purchases and accurately process various payment methods, including cash, credit, and debit cards.
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service by answering questions and resolving inquiries promptly.
- Handle cash registers with precision, ensuring all transactions are balanced at the end of every shift.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting checkout area for a superior customer experience.
- Assist with bagging groceries and packaging customer orders securely.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure store operations run smoothly and inventory is managed correctly.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety guidelines, and loss prevention procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong basic math skills and the ability to handle cash accurately.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, outgoing attitude.
- Reliable transportation and a history of punctual attendance.
